MANCHESTER, England--()--Brother will showcase its solutions interface and latest mobile
technologies at November’s Apps World conference in London.
Offering device and coding support for third-party apps, developers can
now provide tailored solutions for a line-up of the global technology
brand’s mobile and office-based print and scanning devices.
The Brother Solutions Interface (BSI) enables customised solutions to be
built for - or integrated with - Brother’s machines using a centralised
web-based server. It opens up endless opportunities to help businesses
improve operations and reduce cost, wastage, and risk.
Richard Thomas, Senior Product Planning Manager at Brother International
Europe, said: “Customised applications can unlock new capabilities in
our machines – for pioneering document management within the office and

With mobility in mind, Brother has an impressive collection of scanners
and printers for use on-the-move. Utilised by a variety of sectors –
including emergency services, logistics and sales, they include Software
Development Kits (SDK) for third-party integration.
Richard adds: “Developers can create truly personalised software
solutions for an organisation’s specific needs. This might include
bespoke menus, security settings, meta data capture and workflow
management, as well as enhanced connectivity options like smartphone and
tablet compatibility.”
Brother will be at Apps World (stand 149) from 12 – 13 November 2014.
