　　一、说教内容
　　大家好,今天我说课的内容是河北教育出版社出版的Learning English Student Book3 UNIT3 Lesson 18 CATS AND DOGS，主要学习cat, dog, goat, sheep, cow, pig, duck等新词以及了解以上各动物的叫声。本单元的教学内容都是围绕Animals展开的。
　　二、说教材
　　这套教材的设置，主要是以学生为中心，以主要人物的活动为主要线索，以日常生活中最为常用的英语词汇、句型、交际会话为中心，使教学内容逐步展开。不仅符合了中小学生的年龄、心理特征，而且也具备很强的科学性。这一套教材汇集了大量的语言信息，不仅贴近学生的生活实际，而且还对西方一些国家的文化背景有所描述。本节教材是将LESSON 17的词汇和LESSON 18的词汇进行了整合，通过新词感知句子.What is it？以及 It′s a... What are they？They are...What can they do? 为下节课的教学打下基础。
　　三、教学目标
　　（一）知识目标
　　使学生听、说、读、写的单词。cat，dog，goat，sheep，cow，pig，duck，chicken。初步感知What is it？ It’s... What are they？ They are... What can they do？They can... 等句子，学生能够听懂并理解其意思。
　　（二）能力目标
　　能听懂2 let′s sing a song 中的指令并作出相应的动作。能够听、说、读、认句型并在一定的情景中正确应用，最终培养学生灵活应用所学的知识进行交流的能力。
　　（三）情感目标
　　提高学生的观察能力，认真模仿的良好习惯和主动竞争学习的意识，培养学生合作交流的能力。树立学生学习英语的自信心，提高学生的英语口语表达能力和交际能力，激发学生学习英语的兴趣，培养学生热爱动物，热爱大自然的良好感情。
　　四、说教学重点和难点
　　教学重点：本课的教学重点是新词cat，dog，goat，sheep，cow，pig，duck，chicken.
　　教学难点：依据以上对教学内容和教学目标的分析以及小学生的认识规律和英汉语言的差异，培养学生合作学习的能力，同时培养学生学习英语的兴趣，树立自信心。难点是个别单词的复数形式。
　　五、说教学准备
　　在新课之前我准备新旧单词卡、录音、磁带、写句子的纸条以及剪好的小旗。
　　六、说教法和学法
　　在这一节课上，针对小学生好奇、好胜、好动的特征，主要采取了任务型教学方法，以模仿为主，以活动合作的方式为主线，让学生在一种游戏的状态下，通过感知、体验、实践、参与合作等方式来掌握课堂所学，从而也改变了以往教师满堂灌的教学模式。
　　七、说教学过程
　　（一）Warm-up歌曲导入，激发学生学习的兴趣
　　在warm-up的时候我首先让学生欣赏歌曲“old MacDonald had farm”这是一首经久不衰的英文歌曲，同时配上在农场的一幅教学挂图。这样就很好地渲染了学生学习英语的良好气氛。
　　（二）free talk， 促进语言实际运用能力提高
　　如果学生在一个相对平等和自由的氛围中，其思维是相对放松的，敢想、敢说，教师在这一个环节中要充分体现引导者的角色，让学生在正确的引导下，尽可能地表现自己。同时在这一节环节中我与学生进行了朋友式的回话。Hello！Boys and girls，it′s time for class. Are you ready? What is it？It′s a horse. Do you like riding a horse？Yes. Ok. Now let′s ride the horse and go to the farm.这样不仅复习了旧知识，还渲染了学习英语的良好氛围。呈现本课新知识最终达到合作互动。
　　在呈现新词时，我注意了小学生形象思维较好的特点，通过对比、听音、看动作等不同的方式引出新词，给学生以深刻的第一印象。游戏所带来的乐趣会使每一位参与者保持一种积极的心态。游戏是儿童学习的一种重要途径，也是激发学生学习兴趣的最佳方法。因此，在操练时，我进行了“listen，point and repeat”听音，指词，跟读。“look and guess”看口形，猜单词这样能让全班同学都参与的学习。
　　Let′s chant. Let′s chant是小学生非常喜欢的活动。此时我先将自己编好的Let′s chant展现在学生面前让他们做动作或者发出可爱的动物的叫声，让学生在紧张的课堂中学会自我放松。Let’s chant. Where is my cat？Here am I.Where is my dog？Here am I.Where is my duck？Here am I.Where is chicken？Here am I.之后让学生自己编写一个自己喜爱的Let′s chant。让学生读出自己写的。互相评价看谁写得好，给予奖励。最后在 “Let′s sing a song” 中愉快结束本课。
　　八、教学总结
　　在这节课上，不仅呈现出了新知识，而且游戏的设计也紧紧地抓住了学生的兴趣点，吸引了学生的注意，达到了让学生在玩中学，学中玩的目的。从而，课堂的教学效率提高了。
　　九、板书设计
　　Lesson 18 Cats and dogs cat cats dog dogs What is it？It′s...goat/goats What are they？They are... cow/cows. What can they do？They can... duck/ducks.

Raining Cats and Dogs是我们最常见的表达了。大家都知道它的含义是瓢泼大雨。但你知道它背后的故事吗？
Raining Cats and Dogs means
A torrential rain. As in, "It's raining cats and dogs. Which sucks because my hat is made of pure sodium."
In the 1500s human beings had the pleasure of living in homes with thatched roofs which, keep in mind, had the ability to repel winds no stronger than a burrito fart. In these strange times, humans for some reason didn't want their pets shitting in their homes and so they were always kept outside. The animals would keep themselves warm in the little nooks in the thatching on the roofs and store their food and porno up there for a rainy day.
When an especially rainy day did come along, the animals would either get washed off of the roof or would come leaping down looking for better cover. The story goes that the townsfolk would look out their window, see pets falling from the sky, and proclaim it to be "raining cats and dogs." Then they would probably burn a witch or something.
But is it true?
Apparently the saying didn't come about until the 17th century, not the 16th. Also, this story was popularized by a 1999 chain email that is entirely comprised of rather pungent bullshit. So, we'll just move on and call this a complete lie.
Unfortunately there are so many suggested origins of this one that it's hard to tell if any of them are more than legends mutated by time and people who like to lie. One story says 17th century sewage systems (if the town even had one) were prone to massive flooding, washing out dead dogs and cats that had fallen in. This would leave some to believe that dead animals were literally falling from the sky. Why the sight of a dead animal on the ground would cause anyone to assume it fell from the heavens, as opposed to just falling over dead the normal way, is anyone's guess.
Others claim it goes all the way back to Norse mythology (the storm god Odin had two hounds). Still others say it has to do with the freak occurrence of frogs or fish falling from the sky (after being swept up by storms and flung miles away) and that the saying "it's raining cats and dogs" is just a way to say it's raining even harder than the time it rained fish. Still it seems like a catchier idiom would have been, "It's raining bears!" or "It's raining human babies! Quick, catch the babies!" followed by frenetic screaming.
Anyway, there's no hard and fast proof for any of them so take your pick.
