If you used a third party tool in an attempt to tweak your system you should seek support from that supplier

Do you mean the err occurs when you are accessing the Bios to change settings, prior to win booting?

no when i was trying to change the boot screen animation using win7boot updater software.
when i tried the same in my friends computer it worked.
but its showing the mentioned error in my computer.

For the people who are have “There was an uncaught exception while updating these files:” error, go to options at the
top (of the software)and click select windows folder from C drive.You will be OK

By default, this was already selected in options, but I got the error. So I did not think it could be that... But I tried selecting C:\Windows as Windows folder (which was the one selected by default) and it worked :D
So, if you get this error and don't mind to apply this, try, you won't loose more than 5 seconds if it doesn'-)

this is likely due to it being a modified or a recent windows update changed something

主题啥的是已经破解了的。还有机子开机画面没有换过本人系统win7系统64位sp1。但使用Win7BootUpdater时。有解决方案吗，进程管理器只是闪了一下软件的进程就没了，其他什么反应都没有

虽然我和你的不是同术的问题，我重装驱动。最后的解决办法是，一定的清理干净。你可以参考一下，但是同一类问题， ，系统还原神马的都搞了，但是我的ati显卡碰到到过和你这个一样的情况。然后再重装驱动就好，可以用qq管家神马的，包括注册表等等，先把驱动卸载了，一开机就出现这个框，没有用这个人我没碰到过。。
不是一开机就出现，是点了没反应，只有在任务管理器里能看到闪一下，还有不影响开关机
