About AizhanCMS Proposed Rule Would Increase Payment to Family Physicians by 7 Percent

There is a new proposed rule coming out from CMS (Medicare) that significantly impacts our agencies.
The full press release is below, but how our agencies are affected is:
- CMS is proposing a 7% increase in payments to Primary Care Physicians who coordinate a patient&s successful transition from the hospital or SNF to home.
Obviously this
is a huge selling point to our Home Health Agencies should it get enacted as they can support the physicians in this transition
- CMS is proposing extending the face-to-face rule to DME.
- CMS is releasing restrictions on which practitioners are required to sign specific orders for portable x-rays and pain intervention (palliative medicine)
The proposed rule will hit the Federal register on July 30, with lobbyists being allowed to comment through September 4 and a final ruling on November 1.
