有些收款人开户的银行，只在某一俯姬碘肯鄢厩碉询冬墨区域经营，没有申请SWIFT代码。这种情况下，选一家SWIFT成员行作转汇银行，由这家银行通过当地清算系统或转账将汇款转至收款人开户银行。举个中国的例子。保定商业银行非SWIFT成员行，无法接受SWIFT报文，但这并不妨碍代替客户受理境外汇款。如果它与当地中国银行签约代理（比如到当地中行开立同业账户），即可将当地中行作为 intermediary bank 。通过转汇，保定商行的客户就可以收到境外汇款了。
