在一篇字数有限的作文里我们还要注意尽量不把一个单词拆开移行万一要移行则必须以为单位进行如revolution这个词依照音节移行的原则可以按re-revo-, revolu-这几种方法移行在移行时我们还应特别注意以下几点:
1. 单音节词不能移行即使是字母较多的单音节词如through等也不能例外
2缩略词如Mr.Dr.等不能和后面的名字拆开移行 缩略的专用名词如U.K.(the UnitedKingdom)U.S.A(United States of America)等也不能拆开移行
3时间量度及货币单位应视为一个整体不能分开移行
如: 1100 P.M. 应写在一行内不能将1100和PM.分开移行写38℃时不能将38和℃分开移行
4由年月日表示的日期如果必须分开移行只能将月日与年分开如January 61980不能将January和6分开移行但可以把January 6和1980分成两行
5含双写的单词在移行时要将辅音字母拆开如better可拆成bet-ternecessary可拆成 neces-sary
但如果双写属于词根后面又加了后缀就不能将两个辅音字母拆开如drill加上-ing后构成了drilling就不可以将它拆dril-ling而只能拆为drilling

(3)动词使用不当:appreciate为赞赏(to value or regard highly)之意而原文中的赏意思应该是观赏(watch) .  (4)介词使用错误:原文指具体某一天的晚上译文介词应由at改为 on(on the evening of)  (5)不忠实于原文:January 15是公历一月十五日而原文正月十五指阴历(lunar calendar)的一月十五日
